Demetria McKinney Debuts New Single 'Easy'

Demetria McKinney is a true triple threat. She is an actress, singer, and songwriter that is taking the world by storm. Demetria is probably best known from her role as Janine Payne from Tyler Perry’s hit sitcom “House of Payne” which aired on the TBS network. Demetria also appeared on season 7 of Bravo TV’s “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”. Currently, you can catch Demetria on Bounce TVs “Saints & Sinners”. McKinney can also be seen on BET’s upcoming show called “The Quad” which will premiere this January.

While she is definitely an accomplished actress, Demetria’s first love is music. She has performed with Lyfe Jennings, Musiq Soulchild, Anthony David, and Kandi Burress. She has also been on tour with R. Kelly and the Pepsi Funkfest. If you have never listened to one of Demetria’s songs, you have missed out on a treat. Her voice and her songs will give you life! Demetria’s voice is soulful and rich and her fans can instantly relate to her lyrics.

The Music

Demetria’s previous single “100” which featured Da Brat hit number four on the iTunes R&B Charts. McKinney’s newest single “Easy” is also expected to top the charts. “Easy” was written by Demetria, Courtlin Jabrae, and Devin Horton. The song is about what women really want out of a relationships. According to McKinney,

“‘Easy’ is about a woman who wants the best for herself in her relationship. As a women, we just want our men to do right by us. It’s easy”.

This is the first single to drop from Demetria’s upcoming album titled “Officially Yours” which is scheduled to drop this spring. “Easy” is available now on iTunes.
