I saw this film at this years Newark Black Film Festival, where it wonthe festival's highest honor, the Best Long Narrative.

It is a romantic drama/comedy with plenty of both. Demetria McKinney, who plays Shonda, was absolutely fantastic in the role! Her emotionalrange is amazing. The story revolves around Shonda & Vince, a couplegoing through relationship issues and decide to go to counseling to seeif they can save the relatio...

I came across a very touching story of Zan Alexander. I didn’t know much about his story, but I knew it involved Ms. Demetria McKinney doing something special for a very special young man. I was so moved by the little information that I did know, that I just had to get a full insight about it. With the help of Chelby and Mrs. Rhonda, I was able to find out more about Lil Zan & how m...

Also CJ and Janine were still living with Curtis & Ella however they were not together. Idk how but Janine had the twins & everything but her and CJ were not together and she still lived with the Payne’s.

But in the dream the Payne’s had just finished having some ...

A Quick Review: Church Girl

Posted by Iesha Marie on April 12, 2010 at 10:05 PM Comments comments (9)

OKAY, IS IT ME OR DOES IT SEEMS LIKE ALMOST EVERY CAST MEMBER ON "TYLER PERRY'S HOUSE OF PAYNE" IS ALWAYS NOMINATED FOR AN NAACP AWARD (INCLUDING KEISHA KNIGHT PULLIAM)... BUT DEMETRIA NEVER GETS ONE? I THOUGHT SHE WAS DOING GOOD IN THE SHOW, AND SHE REALLY DESERVE THIS AWARD. UGH, IT KILLS ME WHEN, SOMEONE IS TALENTED JUST LIKE KEISHA NIGHT PULLIAM, DOES NOT GET AN AWARD FOR HER WORK. KEISHA MIGHT HAVE BEEN IN THE ACTING GAME MUCH LONGER,...
