I saw this film at this years Newark Black Film Festival, where it wonthe festival's highest honor, the Best Long Narrative.
It is a romantic drama/comedy with plenty of both. Demetria McKinney, who plays Shonda, was absolutely fantastic in the role! Her emotionalrange is amazing. The story revolves around Shonda & Vince, a couplegoing through relationship issues and decide to go to counseling to seeif they can save the relatio...Read Full Post »

On May 4, 2011,
I came across a very touching story of Zan Alexander. I didn’t know much about his story, but I knew it involved Ms. Demetria McKinney doing something special for a very special young man. I was so moved by the little information that I did know, that I just had to get a full insight about it. With the help of Chelby and Mrs. Rhonda, I was able to find out more about Lil Zan & how m...

In light of Aretha Franklin’s health problems, word is buzzing about who will play her in a biopic. All of this talk about her flick has us thinking: who else should get a movie made about their lives?

Alicia Keys as Lena Horne
Larenz Tate as Quincy Jones...Read Full Post »

In this dream the whole HOP storyline was different. Curtis & Ella’s house was the same as the pilot episodes however it was built with some better décor a whole lot better lol. Also CJ and Janine were still living with Curtis & Ella however they were not together. Idk how but Janine had the twins & everything but her and CJ were not together and she still lived with the Payne’s.

This vision came to my mind when me and my sis were talking about our favorite show, House of Payne. We were both wondering what the season finale was going to be, so I was like “Hey sis I have a vision!” Lol and it goes a little something like this:
So say Miss Willamena takes the kids (Jazzy, Hayden, and Jayden) out somewhere, because CJ...Read Full Post »

Let me begin by saying that I honestly feel like I have been in church ALL day today. My day began by attending church on Sunday morning with a really good sermon from my Pastor. His message today really focused on how we often try to live up to the expectations of others. Sadly, many of us do this, so it was a good message for me to hear.
After church, my good friend an I had a quick lunch and saw the stage play "Church Girl," w...Read Full Post »

BUT DEMETRIA NEVER GETS ONE? I THOUGHT SHE WAS DOING GOOD IN THE SHOW, AND SHE REALLY DESERVE THIS AWARD. UGH, IT KILLS ME WHEN, SOMEONE IS TALENTED JUST LIKE KEISHA NIGHT PULLIAM, DOES NOT GET AN AWARD FOR HER WORK. KEISHA MIGHT HAVE BEEN IN THE ACTING GAME MUCH LONGER,...Read Full Post »
