Demetria McKinney Reveals Waking Up Feeling Whitney Houston's Spirit

Demetria McKinney shares how playing the late Whitney Houston in the Bobbi Kristina biopic, had her waking up early in the morning crying.

Demetria McKinney revealed during a recent interview about the biopic (which airs Sunday Oct. 8th on TV One), that Whitney’s spirit was on her so heavy during filming that she woke up one morning at 4:00 crying.

“A couple weeks into filming I woke up at 4 o’clock in the morning bawling. [I] couldn’t stop. I could not get her off of me.”

The singer added, “There’s something to be said for such a spiritual person. Such a faith-based person. And somebody who has left such a mark on so many different people.”

She adds, “And I think that’s when the responsibility kinda settled on me. The responsibility hit kinda hard.”
