Music superstars Kirk Franklin and Mya Harrison were just a few of the big names tapped to help Lifetime bring in some holiday cheer this year via their annual #ItsaWonderfulLifetime campaign, with each GRAMMY winner toplining one of the network’s most highly anticipated showings.
With Franklin’s ‘A Gospel Christmas’ premiered December 4 respectively, the musical-laden Lifetime movie packed a potent, 1-2 punch on the critical and ratings front.

‘Kirk Franklin’s A Gospel Christmas,’ starring singer-actress Demetria McKinney and Chaz Lamar Shepherd, was unwrapped to a viewing audience of 817,000 – making it the second highest-viewed new scripted program on cable December 4.
Already breaking new ground for Lifetime as the network’s first Gospel-inspired holiday film, the Erica Sutherlin-directed jaunt ranked #21 among the top 50 highest-rated cable programs of the day (all programming types considered).
