Demetria McKinney Defends Her Music, Behavior on Real Housewives of Atlanta

Demetria McKinney may be new to Real Housewives of Atlanta, but she isn’t afraid of making her presence — and her strong opinions — known.

The “100” singer opened up on Instagram about the impression some fans seem to have gotten of her, thanks to her outspoken nature on RHoA so far.

“Now hold on before people say I think I've arrived. Lmao! In NO way do I think I am on #Beyonce or #Brandy status,” writes Demetria.

While Demetria may not think she’s a superstar, she admits to being grateful for what she has in life, from her flourishing career as an artist and reality star to her relationships with her son and boyfriend Roger Bobb.

“I have been blessed to achieve some cool things, but it doesn't change how I feel about how my life happens. I came on #RHOA to give people a chance to get to know me (not the characters) and my music. I am human. I hurt in situations, I laugh when it's funny, i will defend myself, i am in love, and I have a son I am responsible for and to,” says the star.

“In the following weeks, I Demetria Mckinney will go thru my share of shade and bullsh!t! Lol! I just hope u get to know me before judgement and curse words are the status quo. Lol! #Demetrians, thank you for watching me grow and uplifting me. I can't say it enuff!
