Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 8: Will Demetria McKinney Return? - Exclusive

Bravo hasn’t formally renewed Real Housewives of Atlanta for an eighth season just yet, but we’re fairly certain it’s going to happen sooner or later. That said, the next thing we want to know is who will — or won’t — be in the cast. Season 7 saw the introduction of Claudia Jordan and “friend” of the Housewives Demetria McKinney, but will they both stick around for another year?

We don’t know about Claudia, but when Demetria stopped by Wetpaint last week we asked her if she would sign on for Season 8. “I got on this platform — and thank you so much to Bravo TV for having me — to expose the music, not to expose my relationship, or be a part of the shadiness and the nonsense. They can have all of that,” she reasoned. “I got on for the music and now that the music is happening — I’m on tour with the Funk Fest tour, I‘m on tour with R. Kelly, I’m signing my first label deal — I’m about to be busy.”

Still, Demetria hasn’t counted out another season yet, though she does have some qualifications should she sign up for more RHoA. “If they want to have me on and they want to focus on this music thing, that’d be hot,” she explained. “If not, I appreciate the platform for what I used it for and I continue to support my girls on the show.”

Even though we’d hate to see Demetria go after a year, there’s no arguing that her music career is only going to get bigger and bigger, and we know that music is her true passion so we’ll support her no matter what!
