Ever since Demetria McKinney joined the cast of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” her once-secret relationship with film and TV executive Roger Bobb has been under fire over claims of Bobb’s alleged cheating and disdain over the couple not being married. Now McKinney is, once again, defending her relationship against the world.
McKinney discussed her relationship last week during a stop at V103’s “Ryan Cameron Morning Show,” when co-host Wanda Smith told McKinney that she shouldn’t be in a relationship for this long (eight years) without at least being engaged.
“We are doing that as long as he’s faithful, as long as I’m happy and as long as it makes sense to me. I ain’t worried about what everybody else thinks,” McKinney fired back.
“Society wants to put labels on things way to often. If he’s committed, and I’m committed and we’re happy in that, until I find a place where I’m not, then I’m going to stay in that,” McKinney added.
MckKinney then went on to blast her fellow “Housewives,” cast members, including her new nemesis, Phaedra Parks. Check out her shade after the cut.
On the other cast mmembers’ marriages and relationships
“If you look at it, no shade no tea, but there [are] people that have been on here and got divorced; there are people that are about to go through a divorce; there are people who have got divorced and remarried; there are people with boyfriends [and] you cannot see them ever, ever, ever.”
Hinting at Phaedra Parks being hypocrite
“[There is] somebody who’s been coming for me really hard and who’s about to be in the single mother’s club. Like I want to be there for you, but I can’t help you while you try to hit me. It’s just really, really sad we have to come for each other like that.”
On not understanding why Phaedra shaded her
“I don’t know what happened. It’s like she just woke up like this, and it was aimed at me. Like, I came on trying to be nice to everybody.”
