LOTL The Comfort Zone Presents Demetria McKinney. Debuts new single '100' Feat The Brat
Widely known for her role as “Janine Payne” on the hit TBS sitcom “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne,” which has taped over 254 episodes and received five NAACP Image Awards for Best Sitcom, Demetria can currently be seen on Lifetime in a recurring “Devious Maids” role, and on TV One as a primary character on “The Rickey Smiley Show.” The first single off of the EP is sure fire club and radio hit titled “100.” It is a hip hop infused women’s anthem featuring one of the genre’s first ladies - Da Brat. “I think this song is going to be the last thing that people expected to hear from me, but it is really who I am,” laughs Demetria. “I like to say the song was ‘inspired’ by me. I didn’t write it but it came out of a conversation I had with the producers (the good guys) about what I wanted to represent on the project.” Demetria really wanted a female rapper on “100” and a mutual friend connected her with Da Brat, who loved the song and agreed to lend her vocals.
