After surviving Essence Fest season: the sweaty, humid chaos, Demetria McKinney has some hair care wisdom to pass on. She gave a glowing review to TerraSol Locs for saving her sisterlocs from those unpleasant “ranger”-weather changes-one that might as well be an interference of sweat and pollution-and her followers just eat the updates right up.

In an Instagram post, McKinney gushed over a natural hair care package that arrived after the festival. “Whewww chile… EssenceFest took my sisterlocs THROUGH it,” she said. And it seemed like a much-needing “all-natural hair hug” from TerraSol Locs. Watching the video, one could feel the cheesy excitement of a kid statue unboxing Christmas presents while praising just about everything-the green packaging, the lovely smell that competes with her own—a-l-l her-own perfumes. Actually, this conditioning milk is a star: It bounces she back to life without any sort of residue.

It was excellent timing because it started raining the very next day, and now that’s McKinney’s hair-so-soft-and-moisturized-happy-proof that. The next morning, just as it began to rain, it was just-so-soft-and-moisturized-McKinney-proof-there-goes-the-test-through-reality-of-being-able-to-survive-an-raining-actual-event-as-NOT-just-Instagram-photos. She was actually almost able to cling on and resist to some degree with hairstyle-downpour-goosebumps in the hair world.

Comments showered the labels with compliments, but onlookers appeared more in a trance over McKinney’s beauty than her haircare treatment tips: “There is not a more beautiful woman anywhere,” one admirer said; another chipped in with, “I believe you are the most beautiful woman ever.” Can’t blame them-McKinney just rolled out effortless glam while chatting about haircare routines.

But amid the distractions, a few followers really appeared eager to try the products themselves. “Going to give it a try,” said one user, the surety in McKinney’s endorsement for the natural hair community. Others were wondering about what looked like glittering strands in her hair (that turned out only to be the lighting playing a trick).

That Michael post stayed different owing to McKinney’s real enthusiasm. This was not your polished-ass marketing promotion, freshly dusted with #sponsored. It was an honest celebrity genuinely excited by a product that actually works. From an unguarded “YESSSS” before the first sniff, followed through with an in-depth review after being tested under real-world conditions, McKinney gave the kinds of endorsements that money can’t buy.

Pregnancy set might just hold the key to why so much is going on with McKinney lately. While most women celebrities would be ticking off festival highlights or glam glissade shots, McKinney used the opportunity to go for that relatable, real, self-care moment. Glimpses of glamour, combined with real vibes: the recipe for keeping the crowd there: whether they come for beauty codes, hair tips, or just to ogle her locs secretly.

That is the one and only celebification for TerraSol Locs. When a star of McKinney’s magnitude can describe a conditioning milk as “light, mighty,” and that rare bounce without having any residue… now that brand has been pushed into the winner’s circle. The gorgeous packaging is also something that the stars took note of-the current consumers now equally value sustainability along with efficiency of the product.

Ah, for now-down-wildness attendant with all things EssenceFest, gorgeous end to a fat endorsement of the product, Demetria McKinney is serving so much hair intent and staying so real. In an age of filtered perfection, a fresh splash of sincerity would be infinitely more worthy than the conditioning milk she keeps raving about.
