Real Housewives Of Atlanta: Demetria McKinney Feud With Kenya — Interview
We were dying to know who Demetria would be butting heads with this season. She told Hollywoodlife.com, “Oh that Kenya. I met her about 10 years ago, and when I did, lets just say, no sparks flew. Coming back and having to endure her, I wasn’t sure exactly how that was going to work. That was my biggest struggle walking into this.”
That got us even more curious for the upcoming episodes! We asked if she could share any spoilers and she responded, “Let just say, people should not throw stones when they live in houses of shattered glass.”
Demetria’s Opinion On The NeNe & Cynthia’s Fight
Was Demetria afraid to get involved in the drama between NeNe and Cynthia? “I wasn’t necessarily afraid to get involved,” she explained.
“I was a fresh pair of eyes on it, coming into it and getting the opportunity to see the interaction between the two, I think Cynthia needed that time to stand on her own two feet, I think NeNe needed to see what she losing in a friend like Cynthia. Cynthia is one of the kindest, sweetest, most beautiful people I have ever met. Getting to see the inner workings of it all — it was like ‘get me some popcorn, let me see this'”
Coming into the show as a new girl would be intimidating for anybody but Demetria went in with confidence — “I think that they had their own little measuring sticks and they kind of expected me to care a little more about that. I’m not trying to sound mean but I came in with my own confidence, I came in with the knowledge of who I was and the happiness in that. Some of the girls weren’t necessarily receptive to that — a single mom doing her thing, not concerned with what everyone else was doing but celebrating everybody else, they didn’t necessarily like that.”
HollywoodLifers, are you excited to see Demetria’s debut? The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays at 8PM on Bravo, don’t forget to tune in!
