VIVICA A. FOX & DEMETRIA McKINNEY: STARS REMEMBER DONNA SUMMER

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Like many people, Vivica A. Fox was shocked and saddened to hear about Donna Summer's passing. The actress was sitting down to an interview with The Associated Press when she got word of the disco-era singer's death. Fox says Summer "was just an icon" -- who had a beautiful voice and even more beautiful lips. Demetria McKinney says Summer was an inspiration -- as well as fellow late singer Whitney Houston. The actress who is about to release her debut album, says singers like Summer and Houston have made it possible for a generation of new singers to feel comfortable expressing themselves through their music.
